Jammu: Kargil Police on Sunday arrested a burglar, a resident of Baramulla district of UT J&K, and succeeded in solving three burglary cases.
The thief was arrested at Main Market Kargil, and stolen property worth Rupees 4 Lakhs has been recovered so far from his possession.
Kargil police solved three burglary cases of (1)case FIR No.80/2022 under section 457, 380 IPC (2) case FIR No.118/2022 under section 457, 380 IPC (3) case FIR No.130/2022 under section 457, 380 IPC of Police Station Kargil with the arrest of one accused namely Farooq Ahmad Khan S/O Mohd Sharif Khan R/O Palipora , Boniyar, Baramulla, presenting running Mughal Darbar Bakery Shop at Main Market Kargil, in whose possession 12 mobile phones worth about 4 lakh recovered so far which were stolen from Nisar Hussain Electronic Shop Main Bazar Kargil and offended implement which was being used during the commission of theft has been recovered.
After committing the theft the accused used to sold the stolen jewellery and maximum number of mobiles phones at Srinagar to different people in order to avoid the risk of being nabbing and get caught by local Police.
Investigation of the rest of the cases is under progress and with questioning of the accused more recovery of stolen property is expected.
The whole action was carried out by Kargil Police under the supervision of Iftikhar Ahmad Choudhary, Additional SP Kargil and overall supervision of Anayat Ali, SSP Kargil.
Kargil Police appeals to General Public to report such incidents happening in their area so that culprits shall be booked.
